Job Summary
Summary
Performs a variety of accounting duties including recording financial transactions and journal entries. Reconciles balance sheet accounts and assists in the preparation of financial statements and analyses for management review. Assists in the production of monthly Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) financial reporting packages. Ensures all journal entries are recorded and monthly reconciliations are complete within appropriate deadlines.
Job Functions
Perform routine accounting activities including journal entry preparation and postings.
Assist with accruals and reclassifications needed during month-end close.
Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts.
Research and resolve basic accounting discrepancies and reconciling items. Escalate more complex issues.
Ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with policies and GAAP.
Partner with senior accountants to complete close tasks and resolve issues.
Assist in maintaining the general ledger by posting journal entries and reconciling accounts.
Assist in the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements generating financial reports and summaries for management review.
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering and analyzing financial data.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in accounting or a related field (Required)
One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required work experience or one year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.
2 years of experience in accounting finance or a related field (Required)
Salary Range: $28.90/hour - $47.71/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
