Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant willassistwith the day-to-day accounting functions of the company month-end close financial reporting account reconciliations and project accounting support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented organized and capable of managing multiple priorities whilemaintaininga high levelof accuracy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries andmaintainthe general ledger.

• Perform monthly bankand balance sheet account reconciliations.

• Assistwith month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Analyze financial data and investigate account variances.

• Support project managers with project cost reporting and job cost analysis.

• Assistwith work-in-progress (WIP) schedules and construction contract accounting.

• Prepare sales and use tax filings andassistwith payroll tax reporting.

• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.

• Assistwith annual audits financial statement preparation and lender reporting.

• Prepare and analyze various accounting reports for management.

• Ensure compliance with company policies accounting standards and internal controls.

• Assistwith special projects and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Financerequired.

• 25 years of accounting experience preferred.

• Construction accounting experience is highly desirable.

• Understanding ofjob costing percentage-of-completion accounting and construction financial reporting is a plus.

• Strongproficiencyin Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with Vista or similar construction accountingsoftwareis preferred.

• Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• High levelof integrity and attention to detail.
