Staff Accountant

AZZ has an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant at our Fort Worth Texas corporate office. Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager youll be responsible for performing day-to-day functions for the corporate accounting department. This position works closely with the corporate business units to ensure accounting issues are appropriately identified analyzed documented and resolved.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists Accounting Department with month end closing of the general ledger A/R AP & purchasing modules. 
• Posts journal entries preparation of various reconciliations including prepaids insurance and bank statement. 
• Answers questions from business units and complete special assignments and projects as they arise.   
• Supports general ledger function A/R A/P and payroll as needed.
• Ensures SOX compliance and SEC regulations where applicable.

Qualifications :

• Fundamental accounting internal controls and SOX knowledge required.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and SEC regulations required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook Word and Excel required.

Minimum Education

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field required.
