Job Summary
Staff Accountant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records preparing journal entries reconciling accounts assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes and supporting financial reporting and analysis activities. This role requires strong analytical skills excellent organizational abilities and a commitment to accuracy.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities including preparing supporting schedules.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
- Support financial audits and provide requested documentation to external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) internal controls and company policies.
- Assist with budgeting forecasting and financial reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencies.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What You Bring
- Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or a related field.
- 13 years of accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and lookup functions.
- Excellent analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience with QuickBooks.
- Experience with financial statement preparation.

- Compensation: $70000 - $80000 based on experience
