Central Transport is currently seeking a Terminal Manager for our facility in Cheshire CT that is a highly motivated and driven individual on the quest for a challenge. This position is responsible for coordinating the logistics process of freight movement both on a regional and local level. If you love a challenge and are looking for a rewarding career the Terminal Manager opportunity in Hermon may be right for you.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience in a transportation consolidation cross docking or shipping and receiving environment
Strong leadership qualities
Desire to surround customer with excellence in service
High aptitude for technology
The ability to multi-task while being detail oriented
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
An Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred but not required
Duties include but are not limited to:
Managing inbound/outbound freight flow and productivity
Provide leadership and accountability to team of drivers
Ensure facility Key Performance Indicator (KPIs) goals are met and/or exceeded
Responsible for enforcing and fostering a safe work environment that is compliant with state and federal DOT guidelines
Accountability for driving daily work habits to ensure operational model compliance
Responsible for managing and driving a culture of excellence in quality of product to our customers
Flexibility to work any shift leading team members to ensure 100% customer satisfaction
