The Senior HV Battery Technician is a hands-on technical expert responsible for the advanced assembly testing diagnostics and field support of high-voltage (HV) battery systems. This role spans prototype build validation and field issue resolution requiring strong technical expertise leadership capabilities and a focus on safety quality and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead assembly and teardown of HV battery modules and packs including cell integration busbar and coolant systems enclosure sealing and diagnostic inspection.
  • Support validation and lifecycle tests operating automation systems CAN-based tools and electrical diagnostic equipment.
  • Analyze test data troubleshoot complex issues and provide feedback to engineering for design and process improvements.
  • Investigate and resolve high-priority HV battery concerns supporting R&D teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on battery related projects.
  • Mentor and train junior technicians driving adherence to safety and best practices.
  • Identify and implement improvements across build and test processes to enhance safety efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience in automotive EV or HV battery systems as a technician.
  • Associates degree in a technical field ASE certification or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in HV battery assembly electrical diagnostics CAN communication and safe handling practices.
  • High voltage certification strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication problem-solving and technical reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently mentor peers and interface cross-functionally.
  • Flexible to work varied shifts and travel up to 20%.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and technical reporting tools.
