Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies Inc. is actively seeking an Operations Senior Supervisor to join our production team in Rochester NY. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager this newly added position plays a critical role maintaining production lines for our defense customer.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for production lines including SMT lines board operations radio builds
• Supervise 20-30 individuals typically consisting of support level employees (technicians or assemblers)
• Provide day-to-day work direction for direct reports focusing on maintaining steady workflow and productivity and resolving operational decisions
• Communicate with parties within and outside of own team which may include customers or vendors
• Explain and interpret policies practices and procedures of the area of responsibility to others within the organization
• Plan and establish operational objectives for a team within a clearly defined job area
• Deliver operational results that have some impact on the achievement of departmental results
• Assign tasks to a team to achieve operational targets service standards etc

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree with 4 years prior experience 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 8 years prior experience or Graduate Degree with 2 years of prior related experience in Operations lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of prior related experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience implementing continuous improvement to procedures and processes
• Experience with planning and establishing operational objectives for a team with some impact on department results
• Experience in general assembly and test operations
• Experience in SMT lines PWBA and FWBA operations and radio builds
• Experience in NPI teams

In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in New York State is $65500-$121500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
