Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Specialist Structures Engineer. This role will be located out of our Propulsion Systems facility located in Canoga Park this role you will support the RS-25 rocket engine program and perform RS-25 component structural analysis in support of flight test and fabrication.

Essential Functions:

• Provide structural design guidance scope analysis efforts and perform detailed structural analyses for RS-25 component NCRs. Provide assessment of the products ability to satisfy internal structural requirements as well as those flowed by the customer.
• Report status and results of analysis tasks at design and program reviews. Prepare detailed technical reports documenting all analysis activities present results at program reviews and prepare technical documentation.
• Apply technical expertise to directly contribute to the performance of the team relative to dispositioning NCRs
• Complete assigned responsibilities in a manner that has significant impact on programs improving overall performance and capabilities

• Ability to obtain a US LEVEL security clearance

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Structures or Aerospace Engineering or related field and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree in Mechanical Structures or Aerospace Engineering or related field and a minimum of 4 years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• High proficiency in utilization of ANSYS Finite Element Analysis software

In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in Californiais $102000 - $189000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
