We are seeking a highly motivated CI/CD Automation Engineer to develop and scale automation infrastructure for secondary ECU software integration and full vehicle software packaging within a Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) ecosystem.This role focuses on enabling reliable secure and high-velocity software delivery pipelines across distributed vehicle systems supporting everything from individual ECU builds to complete vehicle software release packages and OTA deployment workflows.The ideal candidate has strong experience in embedded systems DevOps automation release engineering and automotive software integration in fast-paced environments.Role is thebackbone of software delivery for vehicle platformsensuring ECUSW packages arereliably built traceable configurable and deployable at scaleenablingfasteriteration safer releases and seamless integration across complex EV systems.

• Develop automation aroundcontainerized build environments cross-compilation toolchainsECU flashing tools vehicle simulation frameworks
• Manageversioning strategy release branching and taggingand dependency management across ECU software stacks
• Ensure alignmentand deliverybetween ECU releases and vehicle-level integration milestones
• Enable reproducible builds with traceability from commit artifact vehicle
• Design and manage artifact storage and distribution systems:firmware binaries calibration data configuration files
• Implement version-controlled artifact repositories and metadata tracking
• Ensure secure and reliable delivery of artifactsto integration vehicle buildsOTA systemsand manufacturing pipelines
• Develop tooling to generatecustom ECU builds (feature flags configuration variantsdebug/release modes)and vehicle-level software packages (multi-ECU bundles)foron-demand builds for specific test or vehicle configurations

Location & Travel Expectations:

• This role may be based out of theScout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte NC.
• This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office with regular in-person meetings and events.
• Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

• Masters degree in computer engineering Computer Science or a related field with10 experience
• Strong understanding of vehicle E/E architecture and ECU-level software stacks automotive communication protocols (CAN LIN FlexRay Ethernet) UDS diagnostics (ISO 14229) and diagnostic communication tools
• Expert knowledge of Jira GitHub/GitLab Jenkins and in SiemensPolarion IBM DOORS Next Gen or PTC Windchill.
• Strong understanding development and verification of plant and control models in MATLAB/Simulink for execution in hardware in the loop test environmentdSpacecontrol desk and automation desk
• Strong understanding of 1st principles in Engineering result/solution oriented.
• Familiarity with SW for embedded systems EE systems and architecture
• Familiarity with A2B CAN Automotive Ethernet LIN LVDS communication protocols and Vehicle Network tools such as CANalyzer CANoe etc.
• Expertise with complex problem solving data analysis access/interpret/drive results with extended teams.
• Knowledge of Automotive design and development process system requirements and general engineering best practices

This is a full-time exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidates skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range $140000.00 - $170000.00
