Job Summary

description:

Sr. Special Procedures TechnologistPerforms assists and completes Cardiac and Vascular Radiographic examinations. Performs active radiographic interventional procedures in the cardiovascular lab using a variety of complicated and sophisticated equipment. Operates equipment to produce digital images of designated body portions as ordered by physicians. Positions and instructs patients for examinations and performs specialized studies. Provides clinical care efficiently and effectively using a high level of technical and organizational skills as well as critical thinking ability. Models/mentors and trains staff on technical skills. Provide input into hiring and promotion decisions for department performs before- during- and after-care of invasive interventional and therapeutic procedures/studies to treat cardiac and vascular arterial venous and structure heart disorders cardiac rhythm abnormalities to implant and remove devices and leads and conduct therapeutic cathartic ablations. If you use this department do not use 759008 (Electrophysiology).

requirement:

Variable Shift - M-F start 7am 8am or 9am (Staggered shifts). Call Schedule - anything after hours days of the week depends on the week 1 or 2 days a week 1 or 2 weekends a month (every other weekend). Nurses float to the CV holding (Pre opp/post opp). Scrub Color - they provide onsite. Manager will call and and Work Experience:Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: PreferredBachelors Degree in radiologic technology or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelors): PreferredThree years technical experience: PreferredExperience as Special Procedures Technologist: PreferredLicenses/Certifications:American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification: PreferredRadiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: RequiredCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificationorBasic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: RequiredFacility Specific License/Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS)certification from approved vendor per AH policy: RequiredHospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): RequiredDepartment Specific License/Certifications:Fluoroscopy (FLUORO): RequiredPrevention and Management of Violent Behavior (PVMB) or Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or TEAM-A or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI): Required
