Job Description:

L3HarrisTactical Communicationsseeking aSr. Supplier QualityEngineer to support our fabrication sourcing havea technical backgroundwith experienceindie casting and injection role requires the ability to build andmaintainstrong relationshipswith internal and external stakeholderes. Experience with quality systems/tools including APQP PPAP and part qualification desired.

Essential Functions:

• Colaborate with suppliers to reduce variability increasereliabilityandensureon-time delivery.
• Focus on problem prevention supplier quality control continuous improvement and data reporting.
• Facilitate Part/Process Qualificationthrough FAI and PPAP.
• Manage material Inspection Plans and methods for production material.
• Collaborate with engineering suppliers and manufacturing for smooth transitions from concept to production.
• Manage the transition from MFS to Molded production material for production material
• Willingness to travel (25% or more) primarily domestic.
• Position requires a minimum of a BS degree (Engineering or STEM)

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience withplastic injection molding die casting and magnesium alloys
• Experience inSix Sigma Leanmethodologies Corrective & Preventive Action and Root Cause Analysis.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in New York state is $84000 to $156000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
