Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced and motivated technologist who possesses a unique balance of technical depth industry expertise and strong interpersonal skills. As a Senior Solutions Architect on the ECRT team you will partner with some of the worlds largest engineering construction real estate and transportation & logistics companies AWS Sales and several other AWS teams to craft highly scalable flexible and resilient cloud architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services.

As a trusted customer advocate you will help organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions with a particular emphasis on AI/ML Generative AI and Agentic AI and how to modernize existing workloads to the cloud. You will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build mindshare and broad use of AWS across the engineering construction real estate and transportation industries from mid-market firms to global enterprises.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on development and enterprise architecture skills with deep understanding of how AI and cloud technologies transform asset-intensive industries. You must be self-motivated with a proven track record of connecting technology particularly AI/ML and generative AI to measurable business value. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business products and technical challenges unique to ECRT industries such as capital project delivery building lifecycle management supply chain optimization fleet operations and infrastructure modernization.

Enjoy working with large complex customers in asset-intensive industries. You will have a passion for educating training designing and building cloud and AI solutions for a diverse set of enterprise customers across engineering construction real estate and transportation & logistics.
Have a strong understanding of large-scale computing solutions modern application development and how AI/ML workloads integrate with enterprise architectures.
Possess the ability to articulate how Generative AI and Agentic AI can transform industry-specific workflows from autonomous project management and predictive maintenance to intelligent logistics and smart building operations.

Key job responsibilities
As a key member of the account team partner with ECRT customers to ensure their long-term success by helping them harness the power of AWS services including Amazon Bedrock Amazon SageMaker and AWSs AI/ML portfolio to accelerate their business transformation.
Formulate and execute cloud and AI adoption strategies that delight customers and build strong relationships leading to strategic revenue streams that exceed AWS objectives.
Become a trusted advisor by gaining deep knowledge of AWS services AI/ML design patterns agentic AI frameworks and industry best practices and sharing that knowledge with clients other SAs and the wider AWS builder community.
Design and prototype solutions that demonstrate how Generative AI and Agentic AI can address real-world challenges in construction project delivery real estate operations logistics optimization and engineering workflows.
Act as the voice of the customer for AWS service teams to enhance the AWS platform particularly for ECRT industry use cases.
Work with other SAs to develop reusable industry-specific solutions to common business and architectural problems across the ECRT vertical.
Educate customers by leading workshops hands-on labs and immersion days to demonstrate how to use AWS AI/ML services and modern application architectures.
Network and build deep relationships with senior technical and business leaders within customer organizations to enable them to be cloud and AI advocates.
Author and contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers blog posts reference architectures and open-source projects relevant to ECRT industries and speak at public events.
Help hire onboard and train new SAs via mentorship and builder programs.

- 8 years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development cloud computing systems engineering infrastructure security networking data & analytics) experience
- 3 years of design implementation or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10 years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

- 5 years of experience in infrastructure architecture application development data architecture or enterprise integration
- Hands-on experience building or deploying AI/ML Generative AI or Agentic AI solutions (e.g. Amazon Bedrock Amazon SageMaker LLM-based agents RAG architectures)
- Experience with modern application development (containers serverless microservices CI/CD IaC)
- Knowledge of industry-specific platforms and workflows in one or more ECRT sectors (e.g. BIM/digital twins for construction building management systems for real estate TMS/fleet management for transportation SCADA/IoT for utilities infrastructure)
- Experience designing enterprise architectures that integrate AI/ML capabilities with existing line-of-business systems
- Understanding of how data & analytics IoT and computer vision apply to asset-intensive industries
- Experience working with C-suite and senior technical decision-makers to drive digital transformation
- Experience working with end-user or developer communities
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Professional Machine Learning Specialty or equivalent)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
