Our Software Department in Fullerton CA is looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer to work onsite in Fullerton CA.

What You Will Do:

This role is for an experienced Software Engineer in developing and deploying software for real-time mission-critical systems. Key responsibilities include:

• Design implement and maintain software applications using C/C and Python.

• Work within an Agile team to design develop test and deploy software components that support real-time data collection processing and user interaction across distributed systems.

• Participate in design and code reviews configuration management activities and automated testing within a mature CI/CD environment.

• Collaborate closely with systems test and data engineering teams to ensure software components integrate smoothly and support overall system objectives.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation and contribute to formal design reviews.

• Some travel to customer sites for the purpose of testing and deployment.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) AND a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience

• Experience in C/C and Python for application development data processing and automation.

• Experience across phases of SDLC including design code integration and test of large system.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance as and when required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with the requirements development and flow down process.

• Experience with system or subsystem level Integration Verification and Validation (IV&V).

• Familiarity with Agile lifecycle process including Scrum Continuous Integration and Test-Driven Development Methodologies.

• Development experience on Linux VxWorks or other Real Time Operating Systems.

• Experience in radar-domain software development signal processing and/or system integration.

• Experience working in lab environments with physical hardware (e.g. test benches simulators).

• Knowledge of integration and testing of air land or sea-based mission systems from SIL through flight test.

• Internship or project experience involving data pipelines AI/ML integration or cross-domain systems.

• Experience with test automation and CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI).

• Well-developed communication documentation and problem-solving skills.

• Active U.S. government-issued security clearance (must be transferable).

  The salary range for this role is 95500 USD - 181700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
