Sr. Software Dev Engineer, AI Security

We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer who thrives at the forefront of technology science and security to join Artificial Intelligence Security (AISec) working with teams across Amazon to accelerate delivery of spectacular safe secure models agents and applications.

You dive deep into of details of business operations and engineering. You are a deeply-technical detail-oriented leader who can build and grow organizations and other leaders. Key job responsibilities
Your responsibilities include:
Building a massively scalable global security service that is core to all Amazon services.
Owning the definition of best practices for the software development lifecycle used by junior engineers including its design implementation testing and operational characteristics.
Working as part of cross-functional teams to develop secure solutions for our customers.
Owning the technology stack for one of the most secure and reliable services in all of Amazon.

A day in the life
As a Senior Engineer youll be expected to:
Serve as a technical lead on our most demanding cross-functional projects.
Ensure the quality of architecture and design of systems.
Functionally decompose complex problems into simple straight-forward solutions.
Fully and completely understand system interdependencies and limitations.
Possess expert knowledge in performance scalability enterprise system architecture and engineering best practices.
Leverage knowledge of internal and industry prior art in design decisions.
Effectively research and benchmark Amazon technology against other competing systems in the industry.

- 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team

- 5 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
