Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Principal level SAP FICO Lead Functional Consultant to support a critical SAP finance initiative within a Bio Pharma company. Must have excellent comm skills and knowledge of working on RFPs and building presentations and presenting to executives. This role will partner with finance and IT teams to deliver configuration enhancements specializing in SCM for Pharma company implementation and support across core financial processes.
- Lead SAP FICO configuration enhancement and support activities
- Work directly with business stakeholders to gather and translate financial requirements
- Configure and support:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Asset Accounting (AA)
- Cost Center Accounting (CCA)
- Profit Center Accounting (PCA)
- General Ledger (GL)
- Support financial close processes (month-end/year-end)
- Develop functional specs and collaborate with ABAP teams on RICEFW objects
- Ensure integration with PMMO PP MM SD and other SAP modules
- Participate in testing data validation and user support
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution
- 5-10 years of hands-on SAP FICO functional experience
- Strong configuration experience in GL AP AR and Asset Accounting
- Experience with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA Finance
- At least 3-4 full lifecycle SAP implementations
- Strong understanding of core accounting principles and financial processes
- Proven ability to work with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Experience working in FDA and Pharma environments

- Exposure to defense aerospace or regulated industries
- Experience with financial reporting tools (Fiori SAC BW)
- Background supporting audit or compliance-driven environments

- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Able to operate independently in fast-paced environments

Minimum of 10 years overall IT experience with global projects previously We are seeking an experienced Principal level SAP FICO Lead Functional Consultant with project management skills on previous SAP Pharma projects. Lead the SAP finance initiative within discrete manufacturing environment. This role will partner with finance and IT teams to deliver configuration enhancements specializing in FICO process manufacturing and SCM implementations and support across core financial processes. Also having served as a project manager on previous smaller scope projects too. For this REQ we prefer US CIT GC or Great communicating H1B candidates. Client is manufacturing Photo Voltaic products(Solar panels) using discrete manufacturing Made to Order leveraging Variant Configuration all strongly preferred. This is a SAP GROW or RISE (SAP Cloud offerings) implementation that will be approximately 6 months. Learn more about how we deliver excellence for our customers and colleagues at client. Responsible for the full lifecycle implementation of FI CO and associated SAP modules from in discrete manufacturing and Made to Order processes leveraging variant configuration. Some post-implementation support Specializes in SAP package solutions and their functional capabilities using them to address business requirements reduce costs and improve operational visibility. Lead workshops to determine system requirements and document findings Lead projects allocate resources and ensure on-time delivery Configure FI CO and associated SAP modules Provide functional specifications for technical development Identify and address technical and operational challenges proactively Monitor and report on project progress and financial metrics Promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members Foster an environment of teamwork and effective communication Establish and maintain long-term executive relationships by performing billable advisory services Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a relevant field (i.e. Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience 8 years of relevant work experience in industry with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role years of relevant work experience in software engineering and management Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies Proven experience in team management and software project execution Solid technical knowledge in package applications Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills Other Qualifications: Advanced degree in a relevant field a plus (e.g. MBA)
