Job Summary
Roles and Responsibilities
- Safely achieving on-quality on-time and on-budget level of performance for the most complex projects in GE Vernova controls upgrades.
- Acting as a primary customer contact for the duration of each project from purchase order receipt through commissioning; resolving specification issues; owning communication plans; ensuring customer satisfaction; negotiating for customer-requested changes (price and delivery); arranging witness tests; managing contract and terms; collecting accounts receivables and closing out project.
- Managing and reporting all financial aspects of the project including budgets costs margin invoicing and receivable collection while promoting change orders and providing estimate-at-completion forecasts.
- Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules and critical control points through collaboration across all functions on major milestones and task completion dates while providing daily engagement. leadership and direction to other functions within the project team to ensure an alignment on project goals and deliverables for project success.
- Support development of North America projects operational model including team structure of full-time employees and contingent workers.
- Mentoring project managers on the team including direct reports.
- Key Account execution ownership including forecasting internal & eternal stakeholder management and status/readiness visibility.
- Sharing Key Account Best Practices/Lessons Learned for continuous improvement based on aligning with long-term customer needs.
- Quantitatively and qualitatively managing project execution and financial risks.
- Influencing decision making and problem solving across cross-functional teams to develop an inclusive win-win solution for customer and the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or GE Vernova internal equivalent.
- Bachelors degree in management/STEM (Sciences Technology Engineering Mathematics) from accredited college or University.
- Have minimum 2 years of experience in controls project management including key account project execution.
- Have minimum 5 years of experience in turbine controls including engineering or supply chain.
- Lean Six Sigma Green (or higher) Belt or comparable continuous improvement certification; direct experience in cross-functional improvement methodologies (kaizen workouts etc.)
- Exceptional organization skills including demonstrated project execution administration/controls.
- Have SAP Enterprise Software experience.
- Travel up to 40% of the time for kick-off meetings close out meetings and witness tests.
