Sr. Product Design Engineer

One of Apples Ru0026D groups is currently seeking a senior product design engineer. This engineer will be responsible for mechanical design of mechanisms and mechatronic systems from concept generation through physical implementation and validation. In this role you will partner with cross-functional teams such as electrical controls and embedded FW engineers to realize mechatronic system include:nMechanical design (3D and 2D drawings)nMechanism design and integrationnElectrical component integration (sensors electronics wiring and harnesses)nPrototype evaluate develop and harden designsnClose collaboration with cross-functional teams

BS in mechanical engineering or similar fieldn5 years of hands-on mechanism and mechatronic product design experiencenExperience selecting and integrating electronics sensors and mechanisms in challenging packaging environmentsnStrong mechanical engineering analytical skillsnExperience selecting materials and manufacturing processes based on engineering requirementsnExperience working in technical project groups in a professional environmentnProficiency in 3D CAD and creating 2D drawingsnExcellent communication skills (verbal and written) including emails preparing slide presentations and presenting technical concepts to multi-disciplinary teamsnDetail orientated and capable of handling multiple assignments at once

MS or PhD in mechanical engineering or similar fieldnFluent in Siemens NX including surfacing toolsnExperience working through entire product cycle including shipping product experiencenExperience leading teams through product development cycle from concept development to production bring up
