Senior Palo Alto Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Palo Alto Network Security Engineer to design implement support and optimize enterprise security solutions utilizing Palo Alto Networks technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with next-generation firewalls security policy management VPN technologies threat prevention and cloud security solutions within large-scale enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities

• Design deploy configure and maintain Palo Alto Networks security solutions including NGFWs Panorama GlobalProtect and Prisma platforms.
• Implement and manage security policies NAT configurations application controls URL filtering and threat prevention services.
• Configure support and troubleshoot site-to-site and remote access VPN solutions.
• Perform firewall rule reviews security assessments and policy optimization activities to ensure security effectiveness and operational efficiency.
• Participate in incident response efforts and provide root cause analysis for security-related events and outages.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation network diagrams standards and operational procedures.
• Provide recommendations for security enhancements platform optimization and industry best practices.
• Integrate security solutions with enterprise automation frameworks Infrastructure as Code (IaC) platforms and network service delivery processes.
• Collaborate with network cloud infrastructure and security teams to support strategic initiatives and ongoing operations.
• Support change management implementation activities and operational troubleshooting in production environments. Required Qualifications
• 5 years of experience supporting enterprise network security environments.
• 3 years of hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and security products.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Palo Alto NGFW
  • Panorama
  • GlobalProtect
  • Threat Prevention
  • URL Filtering
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP routing protocols (BGP OSPF) NAT VPN technologies and network segmentation.
• Experience troubleshooting complex network and security issues in enterprise environments.
• Experience with network automation using Python Ansible REST APIs or similar automation technologies.
• Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation and operational runbooks. Preferred Qualifications
• Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) certification.
• Experience with Prisma Access Prisma Cloud and/or Cortex XDR.
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments (AWS Azure or GCP).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or similar automation frameworks.
