Job Summary
Seeking a Senior Network Engineer with a strong firewall focus to support firewall configuration remediation and enterprise network operations. This is a hands-on role working under the Network Architect to execute firewall configuration changes maintain enterprise network infrastructure and support data center operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with enterprise firewalls Cisco networking technologies routing protocols and network troubleshooting in a banking or financial services environment.

Update on this position: This position is to remediate Firewall Configuration. Must be hands on network engineer with firewall focus. The firewall configuration changes will happen every Saturdays. Must be able to work on Saturdays and potentially Sundays starting 9am EST. Might also need to go to the data center in Clifton/Piscataway NJ. This is a senior level hands on role. Anyone using AI will be disqualified. This person will be working under the network architect to execute. Must have excellent communication skills and can work in pressure environment. Recent banking or financial services client experience required.
Network Operations configuring switches/Firewalls/routers; Data center Inventory and patch panel work. Coordinating with Network vendors.
Required Skills:
5 -10 Years of enterprise security experience.
4 years of Check point and Fortinet Fortigate Firewalls F5 etc.
Working experience with different Cisco platforms: ASRs Nexus Catalyst 5600 and higher
Knowledge of routing protocols: OSPF EIGRP BGP
Update firewall configuration as per latest security standards of company
Assist with hardware life cycle of network equipment
Troubleshooting Layer 2 issues. Full understanding of STP
Troubleshooting dot1x/EAP. Handle NAC related issues
Strong Understanding of TCP/IP UDP troubleshooting various application issues using Wireshark tcpdump etc
Knowledge of McAfee Web Gateways.

Required Skills:
5 -10 Years of enterprise security experience.
4 years of Check point and Fortinet Fortigate Firewalls F5 etc.
