Sr. Medical Technologist Automated Lab 32 hrs Evening Shift

What you will do:

• Performs a variety of complex laboratory tests and procedures on neonatal pediatric adolescent adult and geriatric patients according to established standards: maintains and/or calibrates scientific equipment.

• Provides teaching and education to lab students and other personnel.

• Responsible for maintaining inspection readiness at all times.

Position Hours:

• 32 hours Evening Shift every other weekend; rotating holidays

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology

• Must have a minimum of 5 years experience; Must have an understanding of all laboratory sections as a generalist that may include: Chemistry Hematology Coagulation Microbiology immunology and urinalysis. Knowledge of specimen processing specimen handling and phlebotomy are needed.

• MT-ASCP

• Exhibits strong interpersonal skill; technically competent. Ability toadequately use or learn to use the departments computerized system and its associated devices. Adaptability and flexibility necessary for work schedule and patient care requirements. Good command of the English language and medical terminology

• Must be able to cover alternate shifts (for call-offs sicknesses emergencies other situations) and weekends and holidays as needed.
