Mass General Brigham Health Plan is seeking a collaborative and technically skilled Senior MassHealth Encounter Data Analyst to support critical regulatory reporting and analytics initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of business compliance and data engineering playing a key role in translating complex regulatory requirements into actionable technical solutions.
Approximately 50% of this role focuses on cross-functional partnership working closely with internal stakeholdersincluding Compliance and Risk Adjustment teamsas well as external regulatory agencies. The Senior MassHealth Encounter Data Analyst will gather interpret and translate detailed regulatory requirements for MassHealth Encounter ODAG and CDAG reporting ensuring developers have clear accurate technical specifications to support compliant data submissions.
The remaining 50% of the role is highly technical involving hands-on data analysis and development using SQL SSRS and SSIS. This includes designing validating and optimizing data pipelines and reports as well as performing in-depth analysis to ensure data accuracy completeness and alignment with regulatory expectations.

Essential Functions
-Collect clean and transform large and complex data sets from various sources for analysis.
-Partner with aligned senior leaders to determine and plan for data analytics/reporting needs of a business unit or functional area(s).
-Mentor and train other data analysts.
-Identify trends correlations and anomalies in data and provide explanations or recommendations based on findings.
-Create clear concise and visually compelling data visualizations dashboards and reports.
-Present complex data and analytical findings in a meaningful and understandable manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
-Performs comprehensive quality assurance ensuring that data and reports meet end-user specifications and are accurate and reliable.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors Degree required; experience can be considered in lieu of a degree
Experience
- At least 5-7 years of experience in data analysis required
- Experience with MassHealth Encounter ODAG and CDAG reporting high preferred
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of relational databases SQL data visualization and Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate complex workflows and data to a variety of audiences.
- Project management skills and/or experience are a plus.
- Knowledge and application of statistical analyses including variance analysis and statistical significant preferred.
- Healthcare knowledge particularly as it pertains to electronic medical record data is preferred but not required.

Working Conditions
- While this position is designated as remote all employees including those classified as remote may be required to attend meetings trainings or other necessary functions onsite at a Mass General Brigham location on an as-needed basis. Reasonable notice will be provided for any required in-person attendance
