Job Summary
The Sr Supply Chain Manager (PSI) for a DCHeavy business unit is responsible for leading endtoend Production Sales and Inventory (PSI) planning with a primary focus on distribution center inventory positioning warehouse execution and customer fulfillment performance. This role ensures that production and inbound supply are optimally aligned with DC capacity outbound demand and servicelevel commitments.
This position requires close collaboration with Demand Planning Production Logistics Sales and Finance to drive inventory health warehouse throughput and OTIF performance. The Supply Chain Sr Manager owns PSI cadence DClevel inventory strategy and continuous improvement initiatives to improve customer experience while managing cost and operational risk.
Key Responsibilities
PSI & Inventory Planning
- Lead PSI planning and execution with primary ownership of DC / WH inventory positioning and supply allocation.
- Translate demand forecasts into DClevel replenishment and safety stock strategies.
- Balance service levels inventory turns and carrying costs across the DC network.
- Conduct regular inventory health reviews focused on aging excess and service risk.
Distribution Management & Warehouse Operations
- Partner closely with Trans and WH leaders to align inbound and outbound execution with execution plans.
- Manage inbound flow pacing to ensure DC receiving storage and labor capacity are not exceeded.
- Ensure alignment on dock scheduling receiving priorities slotting strategies and outbound picking capacity.
- Monitor and resolve DC constraints impacting fulfillment including labor shortages space utilization or system issues.
- Own DC inventory accuracy performance in partnership with warehouse teams and cycle count programs.
Production & Inbound Supply Alignment
- Coordinate with Production and overseas logistics teams to sequence inbound supply to DCs.
- Align factory output import volumes and domestic inbound flows with DC capacity plans.
- Adjust PSI plans dynamically in response to DC congestion demand shifts or supply disruptions.
Logistics & Transportation
- Coordinate inbound shipments from ports and suppliers to DCs.
- Oversee interDC transfers and crossdock opportunities to optimize network performance.
- Develop contingency plans for weather events port delays carrier shortages or DC disruptions.
CrossFunctional Leadership
- Serve as the central PSI point of coordination across Sales Demand Planning Production DM WH and Logistics.
- Lead PSI forums and operational reviews using datadriven insights.
- Communicate risks constraints and mitigation plans to leadership with actionable recommendations.
- Participate in S&OP meetings to align forecast inventory and financial plans.
Continuous Improvement & Systems
- Identify and drive improvements across PSI DC workflows and warehouse processes.
- Lead system and process enhancements across ERP WMS and planning tools.
- Benchmark WH performance against bestinclass distribution practices in the Home Appliance industry.
Metrics & Talent Leadership
- Develop and manage KPIs including OTIF inventory turns aging inventory DC throughput and costtoserve.
- Set SMART goals aligned with strategic initiatives.
- Recruit coach and mentor team members to build operational excellence and execution discipline.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Operations Business or related field.
- 9 years of experience in supply chain inventory management or distribution operations.
- 3 years of experience managing staff and cross-functional
- Strong background in DCcentric fulfillment environments.
- Experience partnering with warehouse operations and distribution management teams.
- Advanced ERP/WMS knowledge (Oracle preferred).
- Proven leadership analytical and crossfunctional influence skills.
