DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Sr. Manager SALT/Indirectlocatedin Raynham MA or West Chester PA or Palm Beach Gardens FL or Warsaw IN or Raritan NJ.
The Sr. Manager SALT/Indirect plays a critical leadership role within the Tax Finance organization responsible for overseeing U.S. state and local tax (SALT) and indirect tax compliance planning and risk management activities. This role partners closely with Finance Supply Chain Commercial and external advisors to ensure tax compliance while supporting business growth and operational excellence. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprisewide decisions lead complex initiatives and help shape the tax strategy of a newly formed standalone orthopedic company.
Key Responsibilities
Lead U.S. SALT and indirect tax compliance including sales and use tax property tax gross receipts and other transactionbased taxes.
Manage tax provision audits controversy matters and correspondence with state and local taxing authorities.
Develop and execute SALT and indirect tax planning strategies to manage riskoptimizecash flow and support business initiatives.
Partner crossfunctionally with Finance Legal Supply Chain and Commercial teams to assess tax implications of new products business models and transactions.
Oversee thirdparty advisors and ensure highqualitytimelydeliverables aligned with company standards.
Lead and mentor team members fostering a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous improvement.
Monitor legislative and regulatory changesimpactingSALT and indirect taxes and assess business impact.
Ensure strong internal controls documentation and compliance with company policies and external regulations.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Tax ora relatedfield (required).
Masters degree in Taxationor MBA (preferred).
Experience and Skills
Required:
Typically requires8-10 yearsof progressive experience in SALT and/or indirect tax including experience in a large multinational organization or public accounting firm.
Demonstratedexpertisein U.S. state and local tax compliance and planning.
Experience managing audits and interacting with taxing authorities.
Strong leadership communication and stakeholdermanagement skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects in a fastpaced environment.
Preferred:
Experience supporting manufacturing supply chain or commercial operations.
Prior peoplemanagement experience.
Experience with tax technology solutions and process improvement initiatives.
Knowledge of indirect tax implications related to medical devices or regulated industries.
Other:
Language:English (required).
Travel:Up to 10% domestic travel.
Certifications:CPA or equivalent (preferred).
