Job Summary

The Enterprise Business Architect Lead establishes and leads the business architecture discipline at Energy Transfer. This role translates enterprise strategy into operating model design capability frameworks and platform governance ensuring technology investments process transformations and organizational changes align with long-term business outcomes.

The Business Architect Lead serves as a strategic advisor to senior business and technology leaders across the enterprise transformation portfolio including CLM data applications and future platform decisions. This is a foundational build-from-scratch role that requires both the ability to establish the discipline and the credibility to influence senior stakeholders without formal authority.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture Governance

Establish business architecture practice including frameworks tools and standards

Define and maintain the enterprise capability model value stream maps and business process architecture

Govern platform and technology investment decisions from a business architecture perspective

Ensure alignment between business capabilities processes data and enabling technology across transformation programs

Strategic Operating Model Design

Partner with senior business leaders to translate strategic priorities into operating model changes

Design future-state operating models for key business domains undergoing transformation

Identify capability gaps redundancies and improvement opportunities across the enterprise

Support M&A integration planning by providing operating model analysis and architecture inputs

Platform & Product Governance

Provide architectural oversight for enterprise platforms including CLM (Agiloft) data applications and others

Define standards for platform ownership product governance and lifecycle management

Advise on build vs. buy vs. integrate decisions from a business capability standpoint

Partner with IT to ensure business and technical architectures remain aligned

Stakeholder Engagement & Community Building

Serve as a trusted advisor to VPs Directors and functional leaders across the enterprise

Facilitate business architecture workshops to surface current-state challenges and inform future-state design

Communicate complex architecture concepts in clear business-facing language

Build an internal business architecture community of practice over time

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

Bachelors degree in business Engineering Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience

10 years of experience in business architecture enterprise transformation or management consulting

Demonstrated experience establishing or maturing a business architecture function or practice

Expertise in capability modeling value stream mapping business process architecture and operating model design

Strong executive stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Experience with enterprise platform implementations and governance

Proficiency with architecture or process tools (e.g. LeanIX Mega Visio ARIS or equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications

MBA or advanced degree

TOGAF or BIZBOK certification

Experience in energy midstream or industrial sector

Background in management consulting (Big 4 boutique strategy or equivalent)

Familiarity with CLM ERP or enterprise content management platforms

Working Conditions:

Usually normal office working conditions.

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

Occasional overnight travel may be required.
