Sr Irrigation Technician

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair complex irrigation systems for both commercial and residential customers.
  

• Understand basic pipe sizing and irrigation components and design.
  

• Repair and maintain valves tracing electrical components and perform pump repairs.
  

• Spring start- up.
  

• Mid-season inspections.
  

• Winterization and blow-out
  

• Ability to visually identify hot spots and make proper adjustments.
  

• Install and/or repair controllers that operate irrigation systems.
  

• Inspect properties and generate reports to ensure the proper service.
  

• Make necessary repairs and adjustments to maintain all systems in proper working condition.
  

Personal Qualities:

• Good communication skills.
  

• Good customer service skills.
  

• Current drivers license with good driving record.
  

• Self-motivated good work ethic honest and dependable.
  

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years as an Irrigation Technician.
  

• Irrigation equipment including irrigation heads quick couplers etc.
  

• Irrigation systems (manual and automated).
  

• Basic plumbing knowledge.
  

• Safety practices and principles related to field maintenance.
  

• Basic arithmetic and mathematics principles.
  

• Valid drivers license and ability to maintain states and company eligibility.
  

• Must be able to work outside regardless of the conditions as long as safety standards are upheld.
  

• Physical ability to lift and carry objects weighing approximately 50lbs.
