How You Will Make an Impact:

The Molecular Biology Business Unit generates $1B in annual revenue across a diverse product portfolio serving a wide range of end markets. We are seeking a high-performing Senior Financial Analyst to support the business through targeted commercial analytics financial modeling and forward-looking insights.

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager Finance Molecular Biology this role offers exceptional visibility leadership exposure and career growth potential. You will serve as a trusted thought partner and strategic extension of the finance leader indirectly helping to guide the Made-to-Order business performance while supporting business wide FP&A.

As a key partner to product OEM and support functions - you will influence all aspects of the P&L and Balance Sheet including revenue gross margin operating expenses net income and capital investments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as key finance partner to Molecular Biology Business Unit by analyzing performance drivers supporting pipeline and funnel reviews and ensuring disciplined execution against revenue and margin targets
  • Partner directly with the Director / General Manager Cloning & Services (C&S) performance through actionable financial insights executive-level communication KPI tracking NPI support and revenue analysis
  • Direct financial support of Molecular Biology Operating Expense budget
  • Collaborate with the Molecular Biology FP&A leader to develop and refine monthly forecasts ensuring accuracy and clear visibility to risks and opportunities
  • Support financial planning activities for the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Strategic 5-Year Plan (STRAP) translating business strategies into financial outcomes
  • Deliver price volume mix and customer analytics to inform commercial and portfolio decision-making
  • Define and monitor critical performance metrics and proactively drive initiatives to meet or exceed targets
  • Build and enhance financial models to support investment decisions scenario planning and strategic initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement (PPI) within finance processes enhancing efficiency accuracy and scalability
  • Leverage systems and tools to automate reporting and streamline analytics where possible

Keys to Success:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or other business-related discipline (MBA or CFA preferred)
  • 5 years of progressive finance experience ideally within a global matrixed organization
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to connect financial results to operational drivers and business strategy
  • Demonstrated ownership mindset with a proactive solutions-oriented approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
  • Highly organized detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel Power BI and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Hyperion Planning SmartView or comparable financial systems
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including the ability to synthesize complex information for executive audiences
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and functions
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic fast-evolving environment with a willingness to embrace new challenges

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $103100.00$154700.00.
