The Applied Reliability Engineering People Leader will be responsible for leading a business-critical team within the Reliability Engineering organization. This team focuses on providing proactive insights across Gas Power Systems that will help improve reliability and availability of the different technology base fleets. As leader of this team you will drive cross-functional collaboration within and outside of the Reliability Engineering organization always challenging the traditional thinking and our way of doing things such that innovation continues to be a strength of this organization. You will be responsible for ensuring that all team priorities are set and executed with an SQDC mindset while fulfilling the GE Vernova Way principles always with unyielding integrity. You will also cultivate a lean mindset within the team such that sustainment development and continuous improvement of processes and tools become second nature.Job Description

The Applied Reliability Engineering team is part of the Global Reliability Engineering team within the Services Systems Engineering organization which rolls up to Customer Service Engineering within Gas Power Engineering.
In the role of Applied Reliability Engineering People Leader you will:
- Embrace a Safety-first mindset supporting product risk-reduction with a sense of urgency
- Ensure quality execution of all work and model generation/updates that meets requirements set in SYSDPs Reliability QWIs and process documents
- Establish communicate and operationalize a clear vision & culture for the Applied Reliability Engineering team serving as the Engineering go-to team for all questions concerns and updates required/related to existing and forward-looking fleet RAM
- Drive standardization in process amongst the different technology workstreams leveraging best in class practices
- Build a culture where continuous improvement is the standard and part of our everyday work
- Foster a proactive mindset within the team driving forward looking insights/recommendations while maintaining the ability to react when required
- Set team priorities expectations and standards to drive a culture of high say-do execution accountable for satisfying business targets aligned with the Gas Power Services business line.
- Cultivate a positive working environment and team morale
- Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships within the Reliability Engineering organization and with interfacing teams (Product Line Design Modules Services/Sales Repairs Digital Chiefs Office etc.) to enable open transparent communication for efficient cross-functional decision making
Basic Qualifications (4000 Characters)
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Industrial Materials or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma/ GED
- Minimum 10 years of relevant design and engineering experience
- A working understanding of Reliability engineering and statistics
- An understanding of fleet RAM and how the data can be used not only reactively but also proactively
