Sr Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Developer

As the Senior EDI Developer you will be responsible for designing developing implementing and maintaining Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) solutions and enterprise system integrations. This role applies advanced programming automation database and ERP integration expertise to support business operations improve system efficiency and drive process automation. The Senior EDI Developer serves as a technical lead on EDI initiatives supports trading partner relationships and helps establish the strategic technology roadmap for EDI-related systems.

What You Will Do:

• Design develop implement and maintain robust Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) solutions enterprise system integrations and corporate software applications to support business requirements.

• Oversee and manage existing EDI processes data mappings and system controls to ensure seamless functionality and maximum efficiency.

• Lead the end-to-end setup and onboarding for new trading partners actively maintaining EDI test environments and overseeing all testing activities.

• Proactively monitor EDI transactions to identify troubleshoot and resolve complex ERP integration issues and data-related challenges before they impact the business.

• Drive process improvement and operational efficiency by developing automation solutions using platforms like Workato scripting languages and other integration technologies.

• Act as a technical lead on EDI-related projects establishing technology roadmaps evaluating emerging solutions and providing guidance to internal teams and external partners.

• Maintain and prioritize complex projects and support activities effectively with minimal supervision.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders IT teams and external vendors to ensure successful project execution and actively manage vendor relationships related to EDI services.

• Develop establish and strictly maintain comprehensive procedures for EDI file security data retention system purging and general compliance standards.

• Analyze overall system performance generate ad hoc reports and continuously enhance and maintain database structures and file management processes.

• Provide after-hours support for critical EDI and corporate information systems as required to ensure continuous operational uptime.

What We Are Looking For:

• A Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• 12 years of overall software development experience

• 10 years of hands-on EDI expertise (TrueCommerce or similar platforms preferred).

• Deep understanding of ERP systems ERP-to-EDI integrations and enterprise application architecture.

• High-level proficiency in programming scripting database development and systems analysis.

• Hands-on experience driving process improvement using automation platforms such as Workato.

• Strong technical leadership and project management skills with a proven track record of managing complex independent priorities.

• Exceptional problem-solving communication and collaboration skills for effectively managing cross-functional teams and vendor relationships.

Nice To Have:

• Experience with Order Management Systems (OMS).
• Experience supporting large-scale retail distribution manufacturing or supply chain environments.
• Experience with API integrations and cloud-based integration platforms.
• Familiarity with EDI transaction sets includingand related standards.
• Experience leading technical projects and mentoring junior team members.

The base salary may vary based on experience role tenure performance industry and location. Eligibility for the annual performance incentive may apply. Jazwares is a multi-state employer so the salary range may not apply to other states.
