Marvells Connectivity BU is the industry leader in PHY devices for AI cloud data center and enterprise infrastructure delivering an end-to-end connectivity portfolio that spans from centimeters to kilometers. That includes coherent and coherent-lite optical DSPs and PAM DSPs powering pluggable and DCI optical modules; Ethernet PHY transceivers from 1G to 400G; PCIe retimers (Gen 6/7) connecting GPUs CPUs and CXL/disaggregated infrastructure inside the server; linear drivers and TIAs and emerging micro-LED optical interconnects for die-to-die package-level scale-up. Connectivity sits alongside custom silicon and networking as one of three core segments of Marvells Data Center Group and its products are the physical layer inside AI GPU boards top-of-rack fiber active copper cabling and the scale-up scale-out and scale-across (DCI/long-haul) fabric connecting AI clusters.As Sr. Director Connectivity BU Planning you will own end-to-end supply planning revenue forecasting and customer commit management across this portfolio. Youll lead the team that keeps Marvells Connectivity roadmap and factory execution in lockstep with some of the most demanding fastest-moving customer programs in the industry including active high-visibility scale-up programs with hyperscale cloud customers. This is a role with direct exposure to Marvells C-suite and the customers own executive leadership.
What You Can Expect
Strategic Planning & Executive Engagement
- Own the supply planning strategy across Connectivitys optical DSP (coherent coherent-lite PAM) Ethernet PHY and PCIe retimer product lines translating hyperscale AI infrastructure buildouts into executable supply plans.
- Serve as the senior planning voice in customer and executive reviews representing Marvell in front of customer supply chain executives and briefing Marvells executive team directly on program health.
- Lead recovery ramp and scale-up programs for marquee AI/cloud customers including capacity and commit negotiations during periods of explosive demand growth.
Revenue Forecasting & Customer Commit Management
- Own the revenue forecast for Connectivity driving quarterly and monthly alignment across BU Sales and Finance.
- Manage customer commit and delinquency exposure across a multi-billion-dollar portfolio that is among the fastest-growing at Marvell spanning optical modules PHYs and retimers.
- Build and defend build plans and capacity allocations that balance customer commitments inventory targets and Marvells broader portfolio priorities.
Operational Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing team of BU planners instilling planning discipline and a bias for proactive data-driven decision-making.
- Partner with NPI Planning Foundry/OSAT Procurement and Logistics to keep new product ramps and high-volume manufacturing supply in sync.
- Institutionalize KPIs dashboards and root-cause processes so the organization catches and resolves risk before it reaches the customer.
Cross-Functional & External Partnership
- Partner with Sales Product Marketing Engineering and Finance to keep the Connectivity roadmap grounded in real supply and capacity constraints.
- Engage directly with foundry and OSAT partners on capacity expedites and long-term supply agreements supporting Connectivitys growth.
- Work with IT and Analytics to modernize planning systems and reporting (e.g. Kinaxis Power BI) as the business scales.
What Were Looking For
Were looking for a leader who has operated at this altitude before someone who has run high-stakes supply/demand planning for a hyperscale-facing semiconductor or systems business and who is comfortable being the person in the room when a top customers executives ask hard questions.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering Supply Chain Management or Business Operations; MBA preferred.
- 15 years in semiconductor or systems supply chain planning including 7 years in a leadership role owning a P&L-significant product line or customer relationship.
- Direct experience supporting hyperscale cloud AI infrastructure or high-speed interconnect customers
- Familiarity with the optical/electrical interconnect ecosystem optical modules and DSPs Ethernet PHYs PCIe/CXL retimers or active copper cabling and how these technologies map to AI cluster scale-up scale-out and DCI architectures.
- Proven track record owning revenue forecasting customer commits and capacity allocation in a fast-growth supply-constrained environment.
- Experience with advanced planning systems (e.g. Kinaxis Oracle SAP IBP) and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Executive presence and the communication skill to brief senior internal leadership and customer executives with equal credibility.
- A bias for ownership: comfortable stepping into ambiguity stabilizing a program under pressure and building durable process out of a crisis.
- Work at the center of the AI infrastructure buildout our interconnect technology is inside the racks powering the worlds largest AI training and inference clusters.
- Direct visibility and access to Marvells COO CSCO and the executive teams of our largest customers.
- A total compensation package including base bonus and equity plus flexible time off 401(k) year-end shutdown and floating holidays.
Expected Base Pay Range (USD)
186900 - 280000 $ per annumThe successful candidates starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills experience qualifications work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
