Sr Design Equipment Engineer

The Role
Our Colorado Springs Rockrimmon siteis investing in a new Manufacturing Center of Excellence in Colorado Springs. We are looking for a dynamic versatileSenior Equipment Design Engineerwho will be responsible for developing and acquiring custom equipment needed to support our production forMicrocontaminationControl (MC) division for global products.

What Youll Do:

• This process includesequipment designproject management specification developmentmonitoringequipment designdevelopmenton vendor projects vendor selectionvendor managementvalidation and commissioning of manufacturing equipment.

• With the fast pace of innovations in semiconductors you must be able to interact with staffin all functions to deploy assets to add capacity replace older machines meet New Product Introduction requirements and improve quality safety and ergonomics.

• Review current manufacturing processes and equipmentdefine requirements and opportunitiesandcreate new designs for developmentto improveyield throughputsafety reliability.

• Engage with a variety of stakeholders includingFacilities R&D Maintenance and Reliability Automation & Controls Engineering Quality EHS Procurement and Operations personnel from global sites in the entire process from development to commissioning and qualification of equipment in Colorado Springs.

• Collaborate with cross functional team to analyze manufacturing processes to identifydesignopportunities for improvement and optimization in productivity quality safety and ergonomics for equipment in Colorado Springsand globalEntegris manufacturing locations.

• Create designinputs Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Design for Maintenance and Reliability (DfMR) HAZOP Risk assessment and FMEA to develop specificationdocumentsfornewor improved equipment.

• Review equipment design electrical diagram P&ID floor layout user requirement specification (URS) Request for Pricing (RFP)

• DevelopFunctional Acceptance Test (FAT)protocolscommissioningplans andresources.Alignplanswith stakeholders.

• Conduct Functional Acceptance Test (FAT) at vendor site and resolve all outstanding issuesfor system acceptance (FATpunch list).

• Collaboratewith various stakeholders for equipment move in hookup installation and qualification.

• Develop and manage project plans to complete within schedule budget and quality constraints.

• Create and maintain all documentation for projects such as drawings SOPs specification FAT cost tracking qualification procedure and data.

• Collaborate with engineers Maintenance and Reliability personnel and Operations to define PM programs (including spares inventories frequency and timingand etc.) for new assets.

• Assist with classic New Product/Process Engineering responsibilities if the business dictates. This would include troubleshooting failure analysis SPC Quality and Yield improvement.

• Provide guidance and support to teammates to complete all assignedtasks.

What We Seek:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electromechanical/ Manufacturing/ Automation Engineering or Mechatronics preferred but related experience in lieu of education may also be considered.

• 8 years of working experience in the engineering field

• 8 years working experience in SolidWorks/AutoCad/CAD modelingdesigningelectromechanical orchemical processingequipment

• Strong experience designinghigh purityplastic piping systemsand optimizing instrumentation forchemical/fluid processing.

• Experience in equipment design development robotic and automation control systemsequipmentFacilitationHVAC and project management.

• Experience working with industrial control systems PLC (i.e. Allen Bradley/Mitsubishi/Keyenceetc.) and control devices such as motors pumps valves heatersandovens.

• Ability to design/read electrical schematics P&IDs control drawings engineering drawings and safety standards such as OSHA NFPA ULand etc.

• Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis solve problems and troubleshoot systems

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word PowerPoint Excel and Project).

• Motivated and self-directed team player withgreatinterpersonal skills. Must have ability to reach out communicate and influence personnel at all levels within the organization.

• Technical vendor managementmust have the skills to collaboratewithand manage equipment engineering processes to scopewithexternalequipment building partners.

• Positive mindset with creativity good problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Ability to multi-task organize and prioritize work.

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds wear PPE andworkin clean room environment as necessary.

• Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally around 30% tosupportvarious engineering projects assignment and training.

• Compensation: $130000 - $160000 per year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
