Sr. CT Sustaining System Engineer, Customer Terminals Hardware

Amazon LEO is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Amazon LEO will help close the digital divide by delivering fast affordable broadband to a wide range of customers including consumers businesses government agencies and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

CT Sustaining System Engineer you will be part of the team developing cost-optimized Customer Terminal products designed for high-volume production. You will own key hardware designs and investigates hardware component or system defects post-launch to find root causes and prevent future failures. You will own or contribute to the following:

-Lead End to End (E2E) Root Cause Investigation for complex CT hardware ASIC or system failures from field returns and reliability stress tests.
-Evaluate design architectures and component selections to identify opportunities for BOM cost reduction and design simplification
-Perform engineering trade studies to balance product performance requirements cost schedule and customer experience
-Lead offshore or local engineering teams set technical strategies and coordinate with manufacturing and design teams
-Support requirement definition and develop hardware validation and test plans
-Support the development of automated test systems fixtures and factory test solutions with an emphasis on minimizing test time and cost
-Partner with manufacturing and supply chain teams to support component sourcing alternate qualification and cost reduction initiatives

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

- Bachelors degree or above in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Systems Engineering or related fields
- 5 years of hardware design and validation of components subsystems and systems experience

- Masters degree in electrical engineering computer engineering or equivalent
- PMP certification or SCRUM/Agile SAFe certification
- Knowledge of digital communication systems error correction synchronization spread spectrum single and multi-carrier techniques and modulation types such as QPSK APSK and QAM

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
