Position Overview
The Cost Accountant will play a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations cost analysis and financial reporting with a focus on standard costing inventory management and ERP-driven accounting processes. This position partners closely with both Accounting and Operations to drive accuracy transparency and continuous improvement across the business.

Position Overview
The Cost Accountant will play a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations cost analysis and financial reporting with a focus on standard costing inventory management and ERP-driven accounting processes. This position partners closely with both Accounting and Operations to drive accuracy transparency and continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and analyze standard costing and inventory valuation within NetSuite
- Support month-end close activities including cost-related journal entries reconciliations and reporting
- Analyze material labor and overhead variances and provide actionable insights to leadership
- Partner with Operations and Manufacturing teams to improve cost controls and process efficiency
- Assist with establishing and maintaining standard costs including labor and overhead (LOH) rates
- Support the implementation and ongoing optimization of NetSuite cost accounting functionality
- Monitor and report on inventory transactions cost flows and product profitability
- Assist with budgeting forecasting and financial analysis related to manufacturing operations
- Support audit requests and maintain internal controls related to inventory and costing
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
- 35 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with standard costing inventory accounting and cost analysis
- Experience working within NetSuite or a similar ERP system
- Strong understanding of how manufacturing transactions flow through the ERP and impact the General Ledger
- Ability to effectively partner with Operations and Manufacturing leadership
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with the confidence and initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and drive change
- Direct experience with NetSuite cost accounting
- Multi-plant or multi-entity manufacturing experience
- Experience supporting ERP implementations upgrades or system transitions
- CPA CMA or progress toward certification
- Highly visible position with direct impact on operations and decision-making
