Job Summary
Farnsworth Groupis seekingan experienced Sr.Civil Engineerin the posting location(s) this roleyou will be focused on the planning design and management of various civil engineering projects including water/wastewater/stormwater and transportation projects for local and government agencies.

What Youll Do:

What Youll Do:
- Plan design complete and manage a variety of municipal and some private owner driven civil engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Prepare and develop construction design documents and plans.
- Collaborate with other Farnsworth Group disciplines and consultants.
- Occasional project city staff and board meetings.
- Communicate planning objectives for clients current and future projects.
- Prepare project proposals. Assist with business development efforts and development of projects.
- Interaction with IDOT IEPA County MWRD and understanding of project submittals.
- Team leader and mentoring younger engineers.
- Manage support and build relationships with clients and agencies.
- Conduct project field observation and condition assessments.
What Youll Need:
- BS or MS in Civil Engineering.
- 15 years of related civil engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or actively seeking licensure.
- Certified Floodplain Manager a plus.
- Federal State local regulatory authorities IDOT experience.
- Experience working with municipal and private clients.
- IDOT MFT project experience a plus.
- Sanitary sewer water line and storm water management design experience a plus.
- AutoCAD Civil 3D GeoPak SS4 MicroStation or OpenRoads experience.
- Team experience with multiple ongoing projects.
- Contract development skills.
- Construction engineering and observation knowledge
