This is a hybrid role basedatour2244 Dabney Road bioanalytical laboratory in Richmond VA. This position will typically work remotely two days a week and work onsite at the 2244 Dabney Road bioanalytical laboratory three days a week depending on business needs. We welcome applicants from all locations within the US. Please note that relocationassistanceis not provided for this position and any relocation costs will be the responsibility of the candidate.

The Senior Business Manager (BM) is a technical client-facing leader responsible for designing and translating client opportunities into executable high-quality solutions. This role bridges client needs with operational execution by developing scientifically sound commercially aligned work scopes and pricing ensuring a seamless path from opportunity through project initiation.
A Day in the Life:
Solution Design & Client Technical Engagement
- Serve as a primary technical contact during pre-award activities
- Lead technical discussions capability presentations RFP/RFI responses and bid defense preparation
- Participate in on-site client meetings
- Translate client needs into scientifically sound operationally feasible solutions and defined scopes of work
- Ensure alignment between technical design pricing inputs and delivery expectations
- Assess feasibility risk and operational impact of proposed work to support informed decision-making
- Partner with lab operations to incorporate capabilities and new technologies into solutions
Pricing Strategy & Development
- Develop pricing inputs and deal-specific models based on defined scope and assumptions
- Identify key pricing drivers and contribute to consistent pricing approaches
- Partner with finance to align pricing with financial guidelines and margin expectations
- Support pricing discussions internally and with clients as needed
Execution Alignment & Operational Support
- Lead and support handoff of awarded work to project management and/or operations teams
- Ensure continuity between proposed scope and execution
- Support project kickoff readiness and alignment
- Collaborate with Business Development Operations and Project Management across the opportunity lifecycle
- Serve as liaison between commercial and operational teams to ensure feasibility and clarity
- Maintain visibility into proposal pipeline and forecasted work
- Provide insights on client needs technology trends and market opportunities
- Contribute to development of new service offerings and capabilities
Keys to Success:
- Bachelors degree in life sciences or related field (advanced degree preferred)
- 5 years of experience in bioanalytical sciences vaccines or related technical discipline
- Experience in proposal development study design or technical scoping
- Strong understanding of regulated environments (e.g. GLP/GCP)
- Experience supporting pricing strategy budgeting or financial modeling
- Prior client-facing or consulting experience
- Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams in complex environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder alignment skills
In some cases an equivalency consisting of a combination of appropriate education training and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Deep understanding of bioanalytical workflows and laboratory capabilities
- Ability to translate complex technical requirements into executable plans
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of pricing drivers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Virginia is $93800.00$125050.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
