Position Overview

This role is responsible for analyzing developing deploying and administering Benefits programspolicies and procedures in North America with specialization in US benefits. The objective of thisposition is to drive competitive programs that retain and motivate employees while ensuring internalequity and external competitiveness. This role will be responsible for delivering benefit programs focusedon the US and supporting the analysis and deployment of global benefit strategies. Benefits projectmanagement and stakeholder management will be a critical area of focus owning project delivery fromend-to-end and serving as a subject matter expert on benefit resolves complex problems using or building on existing solutions. Possesses strong understanding of procedures and concepts within own discipline and a basic knowledge of related and mentors new team members and leads projects small project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuously optimize Benefits (retirement group life insurance healthcare& others) by identifying and implementing process service delivery andemployee experience improvements.
  • Day-to-day contact with the vendors and other partners to overseemanagement and service levels of our benefit programs. Establish regularcontact and monitor service levels to ensure compliance
  • Manage benefit projects from inception to completion with minimalsupervision accountable to establishing deadlines and accountabilities of allstakeholders.
  • Lead open enrollment planning communications and deployment.
  • Participate and coordinate systems development testing andimplementation and post-production review of all plans and programs.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders across functionssuch as shared services finance payroll and operations.
  • Support HRBPs in their communication with managers about benefitprograms and decisions in an engaging and consistent manner
  • Leverage and develop external network to provide expertise andunderstanding of best practices and competitive opportunities.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Travel to sites for benefit education sessions to drive more employee and manager awareness ofbenefit programs and practices
    Provide updates to leadership on progress towards key initiatives identifying opportunities forimprovement and highlighting achievements of the team
    Engage in continuous learning initiatives using internal and external resources with a key focus oncompliance and legislative updates related to US benefits

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in HR or Business or related field
  • Any of the following certifications strongly preferred: CEBS GBA RPA CBP
  • 8 years of benefits experience with expertise in retirement medicallife/disability programs
  • Passionate and engaging communication style capable of managingmultiple priorities and leading by example. Able to communicationcomplex matters to a wide range of stakeholders. Informal leadershipcapabilities managing internal and external stakeholders capable ofinfluencing decisions and behaviours.
  • Independent problem solver also capable of highlighting opportunities forimprovement with leadership and providing guidance to others
  • Some travel expected to sites for education and open enrollment sessions with employees and managers

Base Salary: $87910-$153870


Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location skills education experience for this role and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormicks Incentive Bonus (MIB) addition to a competitive compensation package permanent employees of McCormick are eligible for our extensive Total Rewards programs that include:
