Position Summary:
Under the supervision of a Clinical Manager provides clinical consultation and backup administrative assistance for the programs clinical staff. Also provides individual therapy and case management and/or group education and therapy for a reduced caseload of patients with alcohol and other drug dependency problems.
Competencies:
Education:
Masters degree in Psychology Social Work Mental Health or related discipline.
Knowledge:
- Comprehensive knowledge of individual group and/or family therapeutic techniques sufficient to provide clinical consultation to therapists/counselors in a substance abuse treatment setting.
- Knowledge of general policies and procedures governing substance abuse treatment programs.
Skills:
- Must have high level of analytical ability necessary to gather interpret and communicate data related to patient evaluations and ongoing treatment.
- Must have oral communication skills that allow effective clinical consultation to therapists/counselors.
- Must have interpersonal skills necessary to provide counseling and treatment to patients and to coordinate patients status.
Must have the following licensure in order to perform independent psychotherapy:
- Certified Social Worker- Clinical (LCSWC) Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) Licensed Clinical Counselor- Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT) Certified Professional Counselor- Marriage and Family Therapist (CPC-MFT) Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) or Licensed Psychologist.
- Three to five years in substance abuse or related mental health treatment; experience in a clinical setting.
Salary Range: Minimum 32.40/hour - Maximum 53.48/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
