Job Summary
VigorCare Pediatric Services is seeking a highly skilled and motivated SQL Developer to join our team in New Orleans Louisiana. As a SQL Developer you will play a crucial role in designing implementing and maintaining our databases and data systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop SQL databases and data systems for storing retrieving and analyzing large amounts of data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Develop and maintain database structures tables and views
- Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues
- Ensure data integrity and security by implementing appropriate access controls and backups
- Create and maintain technical documentation for databases and data systems
- Stay updated with the latest database technologies and trends and make recommendations for continuous improvement
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Train and mentor junior developers on SQL best practices and database design principles
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database design principles
- Experience with database development tools such as SQL Server Management Studio Oracle SQL Developer or MySQL Workbench
- Proficient in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques
- Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with healthcare data is a plus
