JOB: Spotter

DEPARTMENT: Distribution/Receiving

SCHEDULE: Sun-Thurs 10pm-6am

PAY: $27.43

Shift Premium of $.75/hr on 2nd shift & $1.00/hr on 3rd shift

STATEMENT OF THE JOB:

The employees responsibilities include: learning all distributions major job functions including loading/unloading spotting semi-trailers and acting as a cross-town shuttle driver. The employee is responsible for completing all required documents pertaining to the job assigned. The employee may lift up to 50 pounds in temperatures ranging from 0 to 110. The employee will be required to use a computerized menu driven yard management system and operate material handling equipment. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. MUST ACCEPT ALL UPGRADES PROVIDED A QUALIFIED DISABILITY WOULD NOT KEEP THE EMPLOYEE FROM PERFORMING THE UPGRADE .

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform all related activities for spotting and shuttling trailers on and around the Champaign Complex.

- Know understand and comply with Kraft Foods Environmental Policy and Safety Policies

- Reduce Krafts Environmental footprint.

Safety Responsibility

- Responsible for wearing proper PPE compliance of safety training policy & procedures and report any unsafe safety conditions to a Supervisor/Management.

Quality Responsibility

- Participate in the KHMS audit and assist in the development of procedures and corrective actions regarding all spotting and shuttling activities.

EQUIPMENT OPERATED:

Semi-Truck both standard and automatic.

RESPONSIBILITY OF EQUIPMENT OPERATED:

Employee is responsible for assuring the equipment is in a safe operable condition and must operate the equipment in a safe manner. Damage to equipment/building/inventory could amount to thousands of dollars. Driver must have a Class A CDL with a manual transmission endorsement. DOT Medical Card. Two years verifiable Class A commercial driving experience.

VALUE OF MATERIAL:

Product cost and equipment/building cost could be thousands of dollars in equipment and building.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Temperatures ranging from 0 to 110 may be encountered.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Employee must have a valid CDL and must disclose any history of previous CDL driving violations. The employee must be able to read write do simple math and have ability to learn a computerized menu driven yard management system. The employee may need the ability to coordinate work requirements for other employees and him/herself depending on job being performed. Employee must have the ability to learn multiple jobs.
