Position Summary
The Assistant Athletic Director/Director of Sports Performance Olympic Sports position will manage and administer all aspects of the Sports Performance Program within University ACC and NCAA rules and regulations. Responsibilities to include but not limited to practice/competition activities player/skill development recruiting directing and implementing plans for daily practices and competitions organizing and administering clinics etc. mentoring student-athletes fund-raising efforts and overall administrative tasks within the operation of the program. Must demonstrate integrity leadership a strong commitment and ability to motivate teach counsel and recruit academically qualified students. Promote academic progress of student-athletes on and the off-field. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire through athletics.
Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Strong interpersonal communications skills; computer skills; demonstrated integrity leadership and a thorough knowledge of the sport are required. Knowledge of and familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations essential. Must possess a strong commitment and ability to motivate teach and counsel. CPR /First Aid certified NSCAA and/or CSCs certification strongly desired.
Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Strongly prefer a Masters degree with 5-7 years of experience in relevant independent instructional or educational activities. Experience managing sports performance staff and facilities. Previous strength and condition coaching experience with collegiate student-athletes preferably in an NCAA Division I program. Successful intercollegiate coaching experience preferably at the Division I level and knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations preferred. Knowledge for establishing policies and procedures for day to day operations is preferred.
