Sponsored Residential Manager

Job Summary
Participate in home finding duties as assigned/requested 1) staff all prospective sponsored home providers with supervisor to assess the appropriateness of applicants 2) gather all information needed for assessment and study of potential providers 3) complete home studies on prospective providers in compliance (DePaul policies DBHDS licensing regulations) 4) present information concerning approved sponsored home providers to the DD staff 5) ensure provider homes comply with licensing/regulation standards (DBHDS DMAS program policies & procedures Human Rights) 6) enter all required home approval documents into the DBHDS web portal for the final licensing approval 7) participate in home finder meetings as scheduled/requested by the Senior Residential Manager or Program Director.
Maintain consistent communication with 1) all community referral sources by keeping them informed of available homes/services 2) Problem-solve with other Sponsored Residential Managers and assess available sponsored homes or shared referral information and 3) each Residential Coordinator through one minimum home visit and one team meeting quarterly 4) Maintain communication and positive working relationship with Community Services Boards Providers DBDHS and other community partners 5) Assist with marketing DePaul services as needed.
Promote a positive work environment with positive relationships with all involved parties (e.g. clients sponsored homes referral agencies community liaisons/educators across DCR service locations service providers and staff for service locations within DePaul)
Provide support through means such as 1) backup coverage for cases when the assigned Residential Coordinator is not available 2) core training to sponsored home parents in areas of expertise (as needed & requested 3) on-call service rotations (as scheduled to maintain 24/7 emergency coverage) 4) providing information for the success of DePaul programs & services to community organizations associations and media; will require to work closely with the Senior Residential Manager
- Office and records administration techniques and procedures
- The structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words rules of composition and grammar
- Microsoft Office Word Excel Powerpoint Outlook Sharepoint Teams and virtual meeting applications such as Zoom WebEx Google Meet
- DePauls policies procedures and standard practices and the rules and guidelines established by regulatory and governing agencies such as DBHDS and DMAS
- Relevant policies procedures and strategies to promote the safety and protection of people data and property
- Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of the social economic health and/or disability challenges and concerns of individuals and the care provider/birth family and applicable community resources
- Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of social work skills including but not limited to problem-solving case conceptualization assessment (psychological psychosocial behavioral etc.) building relationships while maintaining professional boundaries and executing sound therapeutic practice
- Give full attention to what other people are saying take time to understand the points being made ask questions as appropriate and not interrupt at inappropriate times
- Demonstrate verbal and written communication and body language that conveys information ideas or inquiries effectively and concisely that purveys professional composure emotional intelligence thoughtfulness patience and respect amidst change ambiguity and within the daily trajectories of work

- Operate a personal computer and proficient using electronic database systems virtual meeting software internet department or program-specific software and MS Office Suite applications particularly Excel Word and Outlook
- Develop objectives evaluate effectiveness and assess service plans for individuals served
- Analyze and prepare concise and accurate documents reports and correspondence
- Supervise and consult with professional staff effectively; provide strong leadership and establish good working relationships with care providers other community professionals local social services departments community service boards and the general public
- Establish supportive relationships with supervisees and other program staff and provide constructive feedback when necessary
- Interpret understand and implement complex policies and procedures based on changing statutes and regulations
- Prepare and write effective reports maintain records plan prioritize and organize work
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively with clients and families receiving services; assess client and family needs; assess the abilities of individuals and families to utilize DePaul services and other appropriate community resources; promote services toward self-sufficiency
