A leading international law firm is seeking a Sponsor Finance Associate Attorney to join its Chicago office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing private equity sponsors lenders borrowers and other financial institutions in sophisticated leveraged finance transactions.

36 years of sponsor finance leveraged finance debt finance banking or commercial finance experience

Experience representing private equity sponsors lenders borrowers and financial institutions in financing transactions

Experience with leveraged acquisitions acquisition financings syndicated credit facilities and other secured lending transactions

Experience drafting and negotiating credit agreements commitment letters security documents and related financing documentation

Experience managing transaction workstreams and coordinating with clients opposing counsel and other advisors

Strong working knowledge of Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code and secured lending concepts

Strong drafting negotiation analytical and communication skills

Ability to work directly with clients and assume significant responsibility

Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted

Sophisticated sponsor finance and leveraged finance platform

Representation of premier private equity sponsors and financial institutions

Exposure to complex domestic and cross-border financing transactions

Significant client interaction and responsibility
