QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
2. Associate Degree preferred
3. Strong interpersonal skills to build successful working relationships with students and staff
4. Ability to work with and relate to at-risk learners
5. Ability to maintain confidentiality
6. Self-motivated with ability to work independently
7. Proficient in the use of technology including but not limited to word processing databases spreadsheets and use of student information systems
8. Dependable and of good moral character
9. Must be able to bend twist stoop squat and lift up to 50 pounds in assisting students if needed.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Act as the Credit Recovery Mentor ensuring all requirements are met for student contact and documentation
2. Support Student needs and communicate with administrators and counselors as needed 3. Act as the primary attendance monitor for program students
4. Gather data and communicate with counselors and administration to help develop
student improvement plans
5. Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by school administration to support the
success of students and the program
6. Supervise credit recovery students
7. Maintain accurate records in a timely manner specific to the needs of the program
and students served
8. Respect the confidentiality of information
9. Regular and reliable attendance
10. Other duties as assigned by the administrator
11. Conduct him/herself in a professional manner commensurate with his/her position
and project a good public image of the School District in dealing with the community
and all employees
