Job Summary

Description

The Speech/Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for performing age-specific assessment designed to gather data relevant to the patients individual needs. This includes assessment and evaluation of speech language cognitive/communication disorders and swallowing dysfunction. The SLP develops a plan of care performs treatment as indicated assesses patients response to treatment and assists with discharge planning. The SLP utilizes equipment materials and devises and/or adapts treatment strategies to maximize a patients swallow function and/or communication potential. The SLP provides education related to the diagnosis prognosis and plan of care of the communication disorder to the patient family/caregiver and other members of the healthcare team.



Qualifications

Masters degree in Communication Disorders Speech Pathology or equivalent. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech/Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) granted by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Will consider CFY candidate. Valid Speech/Language Pathology license in the state of Wisconsin. Current CPR certification. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech/Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) granted by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Valid Speech/Language Pathology license in the state of Wisconsin. Current CPR certification.
