As a speech pathologist at Charter House your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating and treating residents in the Short-Term Rehabilitation Center with communication disorders and/or impairments including dysphagia
  • Participating as a member of an interdisciplinary team
  • Establishing augmentative/alternative communication systems for patients

*This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship; Also Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.



Qualifications

To be considered for this position you must have a MS or MA degree in speech-language pathology.

License/Certification

  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association is required.
  • Current State of Minnesota Department of Health Speech-Language Pathology license is required.

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience evaluating and treating adults with speech language communication cognitive and swallowing impairments.
  • Experience working within senior housing is preferred.

International Degrees

  • A detailed equivalency evaluation is required demonstrating a U.S. equivalent degree.
  • Evaluation must be completed by an organization listed as a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) () or the Association of International Credential Evaluators Inc. (AICE) ().
