Job Summary

Adelphi is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to assess and provide speech-language therapy services to students in kindergarten through twelfth grade in Northern Colorado school settings. The SLP will develop and implement individualized services based on students IEPs monitor student progress prepare diagnostic documentation and collaborate with families educators administrators and multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Valid Colorado Special Services Provider license with a Speech Language Specialist endorsement
Experience working with children with speech-language needs in a public education setting preferred
Knowledge of speech-language assessment eligibility determination IEP development treatment planning intervention and progress monitoring
Knowledge of articulation phonology receptive and expressive language fluency voice oral-motor social communication auditory processing and augmentative communication
Knowledge of special education regulations and Colorado procedural timelines
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to prepare clear concise accurate and timely diagnostic reports
Ability to communicate effectively with students parents guardians staff and community members
Ability to work supportively with teachers administrators and other service providers
Ability to manage multiple priorities and frequent interruptions
Ability to maintain confidentiality honesty professional judgment and ethical conduct
Ability to work cooperatively with individuals from diverse cultural ethnic linguistic and educational backgrounds
Bilingual oral and written communication skills preferred
CPR and First Aid certifications encouraged
Successful completion of District-required fingerprinting and criminal background screening before beginning services

Responsibilities
Conduct speech-language evaluations screenings observations interviews record reviews and other assessments.
Interpret assessment information and prepare clear and concise diagnostic reports.
Develop measurable long-term and short-term speech-language goals based on identified student needs.
Develop and maintain an effective service schedule.
Provide individualized and small-group speech-language therapy in accordance with student IEPs.
Apply evidence-based instructional and therapeutic techniques to help students meet their IEP goals and objectives.
Evaluate student performance and maintain documentation of services progress and educational needs.
Maintain student engagement and participation during therapy and instructional activities.
Monitor student growth and modify interventions materials supports and strategies as needed.
Communicate student progress needs concerns and recommendations to parents guardians educators and other appropriate personnel.
Collaborate with teachers support personnel administrators SLPAs related service providers and other multidisciplinary team members.
Supervise assigned SLPAs in accordance with Colorado requirements and professional standards when applicable.
Participate in multidisciplinary diagnostic eligibility placement and IEP teams.
Attend IEP meetings family conferences department meetings building meetings District meetings and professional development activities.
Recommend communication supports accommodations classroom strategies assistive technology and augmentative or alternative communication systems.
Maintain required student records service logs Medicaid documentation progress reports and compliance documentation.
Demonstrate respect for student diversity and make appropriate accommodations for individual student needs.
Include and engage families in the students educational and communication program.
Use appropriate specialized materials assessment instruments communication devices and instructional technology.
Maintain professional boundaries and refrain from completing or providing answers to student classwork or homework.
Attend work consistently and arrive at assigned locations and meetings on time.
Comply with applicable laws professional ethics District policies confidentiality requirements and safety procedures.
