• Applies clinical and professional knowledge and skills to achieve effective results in a manner consistent with the code of ethics and practice. Evaluates plans and Implements communication and/or swallow treatment programs according to physician referral and/or plan of care. Designs programs to meet the patients oral motor/swallowing speech and language needs. Applies and shares advanced knowledge of new treatment philosophies and techniques changes in the practice act or rules or changes affecting the healthcare industry.
• Promotes and Supports positive and professional customer service while interacting with clients guests and hospital personnel. As a member of the Physical Medicine Department will participate and support customer service initiatives by incorporating ô Caring Beyond Expectations into daily practice.
• Communicates in a positive and professional manner with all members of the Physical Medicine team and interdepartmentally to maintain open lines of communication. Communicates clearly and concisely and listens well to customers coworkers and other members of the healthcare team while encouraging directness honesty and mutual respect in all professional relationships. Provides positive and constructive feedback to enhance departmental operations. Completes all necessary documentation as outlined by departmental policy and documentation review.
• Coordinates care of patients with other departmental and hospital activities in a manner that fosters a positive professional image consistent with the departmental and hospital goals and mission statement. is also accountable for actively participating in enhancing departmental operations and expanding knowledge base through participation in meetings taskforces and committees and via informal suggestions.
