1. Valid New Jersey Speech and Language Specialist
2. Highly developed skills in:

• Assessment of students speech needs;
• Consultation with staff regarding those needs;
• Preparation of written reports;
• Communicating effectively with students and parents;
• Developing and implementing services designed to promote positive adjustment and effective learning

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The employee must demonstrate physical strength agility and energy to perform essential job functions and to ensure health welfare and safety of all students and of self. The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by the employee to perform the essential functions of the job: sitting standing reaching walking lifting bending crouching kneeling climbing pushing pulling finger dexterity carrying repetitive motions speaking listening and visual acuity. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Required criminal history background check and proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status

Must be NJ resident within one year from date of hire
