What Youll Do

As an SLP at The Arc Lexington you will provide high-quality person-centered services while elevating the communication skills of the entire care team:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech language communication and swallowing
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with each persons goals
• Provide engaging functional therapy that supports real-world communication
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
• Train and mentor staff in communication strategies adaptive supports and safe swallowing practices
• Participate in team meetings home visits and program consultations
• Design supports that integrate communication into everyday life-not just therapy sessions

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• New York State SLP license or eligibility (Clinical Fellows encouraged to apply)
• Experience with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred but not required
• Valid New York State drivers license and reliable transportation
