Speech-Language Pathologist

New Milford Public Schools a progressive growth-oriented K-12 public school district in Bergen County NJ is seeking a part-time speech-language pathologist. The Department of Special Services is looking for a dynamic licensed candidate who has experience providing therapy with students on the spectrum and those with developmental disabilities. Experience with the integrated model is a strength. We use a multidisciplinary approach which emphasizes teamwork communication and collaboration. New Jersey certification required. Services include individual group push-in and pull-out settings dependent on the childs IEP. Evaluations of preschool students is another requirement.

The following experiences are an integral part of the position:

• Experience with PROMPT therapy
• Use of AAC devices
• Determining appropriate speech therapy treatment plans through documented evaluation and consultations
• Consistently providing only the highest quality of speech therapy service
• Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of all State regulations pertaining to the services provided
• Collaborate with the staff in developing a comprehensive plan to provide activities and support to meet the speech and language learning goals
• Communicate effectively with parents about progress and home support
• Experience logging of SEMI services
