Specimen Processing Specialist- PRN- 1st Shift

• Act a liaison between the labclients and patients.

• Resolve internal & external customerrequests via calls instant messenger & email communications

• Communicates with customers inrespectful and professional manner.

• Work in multiple databases toresearch complex issues and questions.

• Provide customer education and information as needed.

• Review test forms for accuracy andreport any discrepancies.

• Prepareand triagespecimens for analysis.

• Accurately identify and labelspecimens.

• Pack and shipspecimens as necessary.

• Prepareand storeexcessspecimen samples.

Minimum Qualification:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

• 1 yearor moreofexperiencein amedical/clinical laboratory experience

PreferredQualification:

• Current or prior Labcorp experience

• Associates degreeor higher

Additional Job Standards:

• Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal

• Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures

• Comfortable handling biologicalspecimens

• Ability to accurately identifyspecimens

• Experience working in a team environment

• Strong data entry and organizational skills

• High level of attention to detail

• Proficient in MS Office

• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.

• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
